m6 conversion

This topic gets discussed frequently on the "Drivetrain" forum. If you do a "search" on that forum, you should find numerous threads on how to do the swap. You will find out that you need a new trans crossmember, a new console, will need to have your PCM chipped to an M6 program, and will have to make a few wiring harness changes, to make everything associated with the M6 function correctly (clutch lockout switch - allows engine start, backup lights, reverse lockout solenoid).
You have several choices on transmissions. The 93 came with two different T56's, both with higher numerical first gear ratios, and lower torque ratings than the 94-97 T56's. If you have 2.73 gears (GU2) right now, you would be OK with the 93 M28 or M29 version of the T56. If you opt for a 94-97 T56, you would need to look at going to a 3.42 or higher rear axle ratio.
I'll move your post to the "Drivetrain" forum. LT1 Based Engine Tech is only for engine topics.
