LT1 vs. LS1 T-56's...

Is there any difference between these two trans? beside the clutch setup and bell housing....I think the LT1 T56 is stronger cause i have so many more miles than my 2 of my friends LS1 t56's and they have had so many probmes with theirs. 1. being bad syncros, and they over extended to much too.. and their cars dont even have 50,000 miles on them yet.
My lt1 has 134k on it and i have had no problems with the trans at all and i beat the hell out of it

What do u guys think?
