LT1 TC in a LS1?

I am looking at buying a used Yank 3600 out of a 96 LT1. The seller says it is a 3 bolt, Yank's webpage says they both use 6 bolt. Will this TC bolt up to my 2002 LS1?

From what I've read, the LS1's wont fit in the LT1's, so Im gonna say NO...It will bolt up, and everything, but something to do with the internals, will get eaten up, or somethin' like that.

some yank converters will work on both LT1 and LS1, i dont remember which one it is. I would call yank and ask them.

I was always told they wouldn't work. 700R4/LT1 will, but not LT1/LS1.

You may want to e-mail Yank too.

I got a stall from Yank..It had a sticker on the side that said SS3600 C-5 Well I have had the converter since the first of the year ....I never opened the box till about 3 weeks ago.....I seen the Sticker and was like this is for an LS1 (C-5) Well I had heard that they weren't interchangeable....I was like Great...I have a converter I can't use...Well I called Yank and they said it would work in my car.....I am not sure it was because of the make of the stall or what but it went in and works fine....Not to say that yours will ...Like stated above... if you can look at the sticker on the side of it and call Yank that would be your best bet....Do that and see if that model is interchangeable....
