Lt1 Clutch bleeding procedure

Hey guys, could anybody tell me the correct way to bleed a clutch on an lt1? I know that you pull the slave out and pump on the rod, but is the resivoir cap open while doing this? Is the rubber thing still in the resivoir? Any help would be awesome!!! Thanks guys!
