Hey guys i just bought an ls1 with the t56. I was going to go the manual mode but have decided to go automatic instead. So I have two questions. 1 whats a fair price to sell the the t 56 for? 2 Would it be worth my time to install a z06 cam while the engine is out of the car?

yes, it would be nice to install a cam while the engine is out of the car. when inside the car, you have to pull everything infront of the engine, radiator etc. I would recommend doing it while the engine is out, just pick the cam you want, and dont forget the springs, rod's, etc.

Where you from? What year and kind of car is it for? I have a 98 Camaro Z28 LS1 A4, the transmission was rebuilt under warranty about 10,000 miles ago I can get an exact number for you later, But everything else is stock on the car except exhaust and intake and I raced the car once before the tranny rebuild, afterwards I've been pretty good on it. Anyways you just wanna swap setups, or depending on your car wanna swap cars? hehe j/k, but I'm up for a 1 for 1 swap

Good move on the m6 to auto swap. I finally saw the light too, it's wonderful 
Couple things I would suggest/ask
1) Why are you removing the engine for the tranny swap?
2) Since you have teh tranny out now, why not go ahead and put a stall in it? You said 'built 4l60' but didn't say what kind of stall came with it. Make sure to toss a cooler on board too
3) I would suggest against that cam. The LS6 cam isn't going to give you much of a power gain over the LS1 cam. I wouldn't be suprised if you had no SOTP difference. You probably wouldn't be happy power wise and would be swapping the cam again later. Also maybe look into replacing the timing chain, maybe getting a ported LS6 oil pump too while you're in there
4) Get ready for a fun install with that tranny. Going from t56 to a 4l60 isn't the funnest swap in teh world. Post pics
