LS1 Axle Shaft in LT1 Rear End

Is there a possible way to make this work? This is the way my car is set up now and the ls1 axle appear to not be as wide as the LT1 one so the rotor rubs against the caliper braket that bolts to the axle. Any info will be appreciated.

Dont quote me on this but I think that the LS1 axle shafts are not exactly the same as the LT1's but pretty close. I know the hubs on LS1 axles are a tad different than the LT1's which is why some people complain about having to do a small, small amount of clearancing on their wheels from an LS1 car going on to their LT1 car. The LS1 rear is virtually the same as the LT1 except for these minor differences and the brake setup.

EDIT: You'll probably have to change the rear brakes to get them to line up correctly. There was a discussion on aligning the caliper and rotor in this situation and it may be possible to do some shimming.

I had this same problem. The only way to correct it is to take the rotor off and put a washer between a 1/16inch thick to 1/8th thick around each wheel stud then put the rotor back on.(between the hub and rotor) This only a temp fix and I recomend getting LT1 axles asap. The LT1 axles are about 1/8 longer than the LS1`s otherwise identical.
