Loose pinion bearing???

I installed my new chassis mounted torque arm the other day and went for a test drive expecting a lot of vibration, but I was pleasantly surprised by hardly any. The only thing is when I'm doing interstate speeds, 60-80 mph, there is a horrible vibration when I go between coasting and driving, you know like when you just have to feather the gas to keep at a constant speed. Well, I thought it was from the torque arm but when I got back home I was checking out everything and I can wiggle the pinion around with my hand. It isn't an in or out, but more of an up and down, like the bearing is loose on it. The pinion nut is tight and everything else seems to be fine but I know that the pinion should not be doing that. What is the deal here? Help me out guys.

needs pinion bearings and a new crush sleeve or install a solid pinion spacer while you have it apart
