Loose converter

What are the signs of a really loose converter?

higher stall speeds, feels like a manuall tranny slipping the clutch when you only give it a little gas, just stabbing the gas you can watch the tach rise and not feel a change in forward momentum for a second until it hits it's stall speed, and things like that...

That pretty much describes my very old 3500 Yank. I think I need to send it in and have it refreshed.
