launching with a torque converter

I put an edge 3400 torque converter in my car... and I'm looking for tips on launching it. I've been cutting 1.7xx 60' times both flashing the stall and preloading it... almost no difference. Shouldn't I be preloading it because of the higher stall? Why isn't there a difference? BTW, this is on MT ET DR's...

Just stab the gas and go, it will flash right to the proper rpm.
