knock coming from clutch i think?

theres a knock that sounds almost like a rod knocking coming from the clutch/tranny area. it goes away when i push the clutch in. it does this when im sitting still to so cant be the driveshaft. it also chatters bad when the rpms drop a lil low before downshifting driving. i believe it could be the throw out bearing from the clutch doing it. it is about time for a new clutch. is there anything else it could be? it is getting worse..... 95 lt1 thanks

Sounds like throw out bearing. If you can just lightly press the clutch pedal and it goes away, get a new TOB before it pops.

dont have the money to replace it yet. i do need a new clutch. i found out that when i had got the auto shop that did my stroker the first time and screwed it up didnt put my zoom racing clutch in that i paid for and paid them to do it. i have the oem in it with 500+ hp they put back in and kept my money. so its done something to it. i got ripped. had to redue my stroker because of them to and costed almost 4000 bucks cuz they screwed alot up. i just had it done but ran out of money when they told me about my clutch and couldnt do it. so its got to be that bearing. any harm in driving it that way? thanks

No harm till it pops. Then the clutch simply wont work and you wont be able to drive it.
