keep me real with yank 3200 ss

i'm getting a yank 3200 super stock torque converter and i keep seeing post where people say "get 3:73's!"
however yank specifically says that this converter is for the corvette with 3:15 gears...
i plan on running this converter with 3:23's (stronger gears) and i'm just wondering if i'm going to be facing obsticals?

please, give me your take...

what does super stock mean?

The converter would need to be really loose for a 3.23

a 3.73 would work alot better imo, but I don't know what"super stock" is

also look at the wt. of your car vs. a vette.

thanks... str=stall torque ratio...
i read it all... and my conclusion is that i don't want too high of an str because it will hurt my top end or the last 1305' of the 1/4...
i may go for the 3000 with a 1.9 str... i guess it all has to flow together...
i am also going to get a mild cam from Bret so i'm sure that will affect my desision...

why can't this be easier

What's your goal with this converter? Are you going to be adding other mods down the road? Don't try and over think this, just give Yank a call and have them help you. And lastly, the 3.73s make it easier to get the car moving with less gas pedal. My Yank 3600 and 3.73s drives almost stock. Almost.

Remember gains made in the beginning of the track are more benificial to the 1/4 mile time than gains made on the top end. Especially gains in the 60' which a higher STR will help with.

i'm going to go 3200 and when i get the 9" with 3:83's then i should be good-2-go...

but in the mean time i'm going to run my current 2 k stall with 3:23's...

so maybe 1-2 yrs from now i can upgrade to the 3200 converter and 3:83's a the same time and notice a huge difference...
