i just got the entire tranny installed i rebuilt it and a shift kit installed, i put it in and filled with tranny fluid then i hooked up all the linkage correctly and when i had it in park it was fine then i shifted to what should have been reverse but it acts like its still in park then i shift to what should be nuetrual and the wheels turn as if its in drive then i put in into drive and then 3 then 2 and it wont drop down into first. anyone have any ideas on what is wrong with it!

 

Sounds like a linkage problem to me.
Pull it apart and redo the linkage again, put the trans in park and then set your shifter in park and then hook up your linkage.

 

okay the tranny shop finally got the tranny workin somewhat. he has all the linkage hooked up fine. the car will go in park then reverse ect. but when he puts it in reverse there is little if any line presure and the back wheels will hardly turn but they still turn. what would be the best way of solving this problem.
