Just got a pro 5.0 shifter

I really like how the shifter feels, but I have some questions about it. The stock shifter would vibrate in 3rd and 5th pretty loud if you were going above 2500 rpm's and getting on it hard. You could also hear a clicking sound when this was happening. I just had a tranny rebuilt and the tranny guy said that the clicking was the shifter. Well, the pro 5.0 does the same thing, but the shifter does not move when it is in gear. The 5.0 goes into gear great and shifts are firm. Just not sure what is causing the clicking sound.

One a side note, the instructions on the 5.0 shifter need some work. My favorite part is when they are saying to cut the "inner boot" to go around the stop ring. They said look at the picture. Well, the picture is in very bad shape and too damn dark to see anything. I thought it meant the small piece of rubber and I couldnt figure out how to cut it correctly. Then I found out they meant the #6 boot piece, which I didn't consider the inner boot, and I didn't cut it. Left it the way it was for less noice and stuff getting into the car.

Not sure what the clicking is, but the increased vibration is normal.

And as for cutting the boot, if you cut the #6 rubber piece the correct way you won't get debris in the car, it should fit tightly around the larger area of the shifter. Infact they say to do this so you don't get junk into the shifter mechanism (Where the grease is in the shifter) and wear that out.
