I need a 96-97 4L60E visual inspection on YOUR car

I swapped from a 6 speed to 4L60E, along with the wiring...somewhere along the line I lost the speed sensor harness....I looked at a friends 94Z but it has the speed sensor on the drivers side and looks totally different, mine is on the passenger side of the trans.

What I need is....wire location. Manual says it is a purple and yellow wire to the speed sensor....but what is their location? Purple wire to the front of the car or rear of the car?

Anyone know?

David

The speed sensor wiring is the same as the M6. I just did my M6 to auto swap too.

It may not matter which wire is where, but this pic from my 95 might give you a clue (based on where the retaining clip is).
BTW, my 95 VSS is on the left of the tailshaft housing. 96 and later are on the right.

Shoe, I think that pic is for a 94-95 model on the drivers side. I have 96-97 on the passenger side....this is killing me! Guess I got a 50/50 shot at getting it right

I bought a coolant sensor plug(it is the same plug as the VSS) but need wire LOCATION to wire it up.

I was thinking you could look at the harness you just removed.

Can you see any A and B markings on the plug? Purple goes to A and yellow to B. Like I said before, it might not even make a functional difference.
