master cylinder with U-bolt, slave cylinder, reservoir
new roller pilot bearing
T56 tranny crossmember, tranny mount (can use A4 tranny mount - recommend LS1/1LE tranny mount)
exhaust mount, torque arm bracket, torque arm bushing (can use A4 TA bushing)
pedal assembly with all the switches and clip for clutch pedal
shifter console insert (replaces automatic shifter insert)
lower shift boot
bolts - bellhousing to tranny, flywheel, pressure plate to flywheel, slave cylinder nuts, master cylinder U-bolt nuts, inspection cover screws, lower shift boot screws. CAGs pigtail (not necessary), VSS pigtail (12101899), reverse lockout pigtail (12101857), reverse light pigtail (12085485). The pigtails are expensive, but necessary. Connectors for the pedals are not necessary.
4 quarts of Dexron III
brake fluid if necessary
and heres a link for yah...Good luck and have fun with the master cylinder...lol

Re: I have searched and searched.....
You'll need an A4 PCM/ Harness....you'll have to do some fab work to the transmission tunnel so you can bolt the shifter for the auto to it. There's a bracket there on the A4 cars that your's wont have. You'll need the tranny, torque converter, cross member, shifter, shifter cable, and you'll have to wire the backup lights and the neutral saftey switch.
I have the shifter, I have the connecter to the neutral safety/backup light swith with plenty of wire to splice into, the switch itself, the shift cable, the steering lock cable, crossmember, pedals, and a 4l60E that needs rebuild with newer torque converter. I can also talk you along some if you need some help. I'm converting my A4 to a T56 as we speak. Also the ignition switch on the column(not where you put the key) is differant, but it just keeps the key from being pulled out while in gear.
I can get you any pics you would need. I have one that I have converted, and I have another stock A4 I can take pics of if you'd like to see the transmission tunnel.
Let me know if you'd be interested in any of those parts. I don't think it would be to hard to do.

Re: I have searched and searched.....
Yes. It' actually not that hard. Um....let me check, there's 4 connectors on the PCM, you might be able to change just one. I'll look at mine and get back to you.
Re: I have searched and searched.....
Wait a minute here....I just noticed that you have a 93, which uses a non computer controlled 4L60 instead of the 4L60E used in the 94+ models. Seeing this, you should be able to get away with getting the chip in your PCM flashed, and call it good. You'll still need to wire the speed sensor and such up, but the wires for that are already down there from the 6-speed. You could use the 4L60E if you wanted, but that involves a 94+ PCM and harness which might have problems with your car being speed density instead of using a MAF sensor.
Without having to wire the computer controls, using the 4L60 should be pretty easy. You can get a chip programmed easily, and you just pop it into you PCM. The 93 is the only year like that. Bolt the 4L60 in and go.

Marshall....
Don't forget a tranny cooler. You can get a radiator from an A4 car, which will have the cooler. Or you can add a stand-alone fan cooled cooler - I did that with my TH400. I can give you info on the cooler if you need it.
Re: I have searched and searched.....
Fred, not sure if they're all like that, but my M6 radiator has the same hookups for the tranny lines as the A4 car does. I just went out and looked at it. Maybe because it's not the stock radiator(stocker busted). It looks like it has a bolt in the hole where the tranny lines would go.
Is that true for the 93 thing?? Just reprogram the car for it? What all do they change in the program?
And the wires that are presently there will work? No splicing or anything? Cool!!

If you got 2 bolts on the right side, you got an A4 radiator.

The connectors may be different on the 4L60 than on your T56, I'm not sure. The 4L60E has a large plug on the front right(on my 94 anyways). If there is any splicing involed, all you should have to do is splice in a new pigtail from GM to get the correct connector. I'm sure others are more knowladgable on the 700R4/4L60 than I am, but don't fear that I'm steering you in the wrong direction. You will have to wire up the Torque Converter Clutch. You can tap into the PCM for this, or wire it to a toggle It's up to you.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the only electrical connectors on the 4L60 will be the VSS and the TCC wires. The T56 has the VSS, Reverse light switch and the reverse lockout solidnoid, as well as CAGS. You will need to run the reverse light wires to the Auto shifter...and thats it. CAGS and reverese lockout will not be used.

Re: I have searched and searched.....

Alright, thats the connector that goes on the auto shifter.
The Yellow/Brown 10Ga wires are the neutral saftey switch. These wires connect to the two wires that go to your clutch switch now. Polarity does not matter.
The smaller green/black wires are for you reverse lights. These get hooked into your existing reverse light connector(run this through the grommet you'd install for the shift cable for ease since they are already under the car in the transmission tunnel.)
The Orange/Black wires are for the hatch release. This is a nitpicking thing. It prevents the hatch from opening while the car is in gear. Really, thats all they do. So you don't even need to hook these up unless you really want to.

Re: I have searched and searched.....
Keep us informed. The more I think about it the easier this seems. I have everything minus the tranny and Torque converter, and would happily let it all go for $150 shipped. (Crossmember, pedals, shifter, cable, cable to steering column, backup switch with connector pictured above) Let me know if you need any of those, or any pics from an A4 car. Hopefully this works out for you. Dare to be different!!!
