How strong is the stock torque arm?
Just wondering how easy is the torque arm supposed to be to break? I just broke mine at the axle and wondering how well they are SUPPOSED to hold up.
I have seen guys in the 11s with the stock one, and then I have seen stories like yours where stock power has broken them.
Yours might have been defective, like a crack in it or something.
I put a BMR TA in my car just to be safe.
I don,t plan on ever going faster than a 12 flat so I should be good.

I'm gonna say hit and miss kinda like the opti spark, reason is i have a friend that has gone 10.40's on his stocker sparying 175 outta the hole, granted it doesnt look all that straight anymore
but its still intact
its prolly a good idea to get an aftermarket TA, the benefits are prolly much better than a twisted stock piece

Stockers usually hold up fairly well with an auto. M6 cars with slicks tend to turn them into a mangled mess after repeated launches. Mine survived for 2 years, then bit the dust after many launches and added power. From a performance standpoint, the stock arrangement works just as good as aftermarket IMO. It's probably the lightest TA you'll find. If my car was an auto, I'd go back to a stocker in a heartbeat.
