Ford 9" Question

How do you tell if a Ford 9" has 31 spline axles without ripping it open?

I know some pre-72s had them

Anything out of the ordinary I have to do to make it fit a 4th gen?

I'm cutting my tubes off and welding them to the Ford 9" and fabricating a bracket for the torque arm.

What about the ABS sensor? How do I keep the light from coming on?

Sorry i have no answer but a question for you.

Are you cutting the axle tubes off of your 7.5 and welding them to the 9"?

Thanks

At the end of a set of 31 spline axles right dead center of the axle in between all the studs the axle will be flat and have two holeds drilled in it. On a set of 28 spline axles in the center between all the studs there will be What people refer to as an ice cream scoop because there is a cut out in the shape an ice cream scooper makes. Here is a website but it doesn't show pics you should know when you look at a set though. I knew there was a good reason i got that 428 Mach 1 at home.
