how to remove pressure plate bolts??
got the trans out, bellhousing off...now i got 2 questions
how do i secure the clutch so that it doesn't spin when i try to remove the bolts for the PP? same goes for torquing them down?
and second...how is the slave cyliinder removed. it's hanging by a hose. doesn't look like it's got a fitting.
i didn't look too hard since it was getting dark. just figured i'd ask prior to getting under it in the AM.
thanks
anyone know the torque specs for the FW, PP and all those other bolts?

Re: how to remove pressure plate bolts??
If you're replacing the pressure plate, you can use an impact gun to remove the bolts. Be careful that once the bolts are loose the clutch disk can fall out the bottom. You can use the clutch installation tool to hold it in place until the bolts are removed. When installing the PP, you want to tighten the bolts in a "star" pattern and tighten them down a little at a time. You do this as the PP is spring loaded and you want it to clamp it down evenly. Final torque is approximately 25 ft-lbs. Have a buddy use a breaker bar and socket to keep the crank pulley (catch one of the 3 bolts) from rotating, this will hold the flywheel in place for you.
Re: how to remove pressure plate bolts??
GM sells the clutch master/slave/reservoir as an assembly; it evens comes with fluid installed. There are aftermarket slave cylinders that can be installed. There's a roll pin that separates the steel braided line/fitting from the slave cylinder body.
