My friend is in the market for a new clutch but wants to stick to the OEM because its his daily driver , does anyone have an idea of how much a clutch kit from GM would cost for an 00TA?

I checked GM parts direct and they dont list a price

 

My next clutch is going to be an LS7 clutch. Alot of people around here have been having good luck with them. They have smooth, almost stock engagement yet they can hold more power. The flywheel is also heavier, making driveability better. Tell him to check on one of those out. Oh yeah, it is OEM

 

Will the LS7 clutch mate up to an LT1 T56?

If he dont want to spend the money on the LS7 clutch, tell him to lookin at the LS6 clutch

 

To use the LS7 clutch, you have to buy the clutch AND the flywheel. It will not work with the stock LS1 flywheel. (The clutch kit comes with both.)

You can get LS7 clutch kits for a tad less than $500 if you look in the right places. Its worth it in my opinion, you are getting a clutch that will hold alot more power, great streetability and a brand new flywheel.
