I paid $595 for my PTS 9X11 but they are $650 now. No regrets. Best damn TC I've ever owned.

Depending what you are getting, the price of a converter varies as much as anything else. A quick glance at Coan's site www.coanracing.com showed converters from $172.50 to $2,395.00

Mine was ~1/2 way in between. What you need could be just about anywhere in that range. As I have explained before, converters are one of those products where you get what you pay for, by and large. But that isn't to say that a more expensive converter will be better, or even as good as, a less expensive one for your application. It really needs to be matched to your car and how you drive it. If your combo is very similar to others, get what they have had good luck with. If it's an oddball, call one of the big converter companies and talk about your needs.

Cool

I got a used 2800 vigilante 2800 stall converter for 340.00 from a friend at my local f-body club. You might wanna check the forsale section on the board to see if they are selling any used vigilante torque converters. Some go for 300-500. I think I saw some forsale on the board. You might wanna check it out quickly as you can since they go quick on the classifed section. Good luck.

I'd be real careful buying a used converter. If it goes it could take the tranny with it and these things aren't cheap to rebuild. I'd make sure to buy a new one with a real good warranty if I were you.

yeah no kidding. i wanted to buy one because i took my tranny in to the shop today to get it rebuilt for more power and too fix it. 1700 for the rebuild. Does anyone have any suggestions as to which one i should get? I have Jet hot LT's, CAI, No cats, and i dont plan on putting any other power adders. So basically which one do you recommand for that set up?

Very close to the same setup I have so a PTS 9X11 w/3k stall should be good just like mine. If you want you can fill out a spec sheet on this site and they can custom build one for you. BTW $1700 is just a basic rebuild. My setup cost over $3k but the 1-2 shift nearly rips my head off. Tranny shop link
