How Many Of You Guys Running 4.30 Or 4.56 Gears

I was wondering. When I do my 12 bolt I'm thinking maybe 4.30's. I already have 4.10's but 4.30's are so enticing.

I'm runing 4.30s in my Strange 12-bolt w/ 28" Goodyear slicks. The torque converter slippage is minimal and my trap RPM is 6530. And that is turning it tight, the shift light is on as I hit the traps.

Keep the 4.10's. I have ran 3.73's, 4.10, and 4.56's. 4.10's are perfect for my car when off the gas, but when I crack that bottle the 3.73's are the best thing ever! When I had a stockish car I ran 4.56's without looking back. After I started making near 400 RWHP, it was to much gear swapping.

I wouldnt sweat putting them in a T56 equiped car. I have 4.56's sitting here for my 9", but that was when I was going to swap to a T56. Now the TH400 gets the call.

Like stated in the other post, I am planing on getting 4.30's when I get a 12 bolt too, it seems to the the optimal choice for my setup...

Yeah, I figure at some point I'll step up tire size so the 4.30;s will still work pretty good for me too.

I ran 4.56s in a basically stock 95Z (9in, T56), and while it felt great around town and at the strip, it was no faster in the 1/8th than with 4.11s, and there was a nasty vibration at anything over about 100mph. It would probably be fine with a strip car with a higher revving engine or taller tires.

Thanks Joe. I don't think I'll go any lower than 4.30's
