How many people have been lucky enough to bolt on their street twin with no balancing

Just got my street twin in and was going to get it balanced but I did a search and it seems a few people have been able to just bolt theirs on and go. The only place in town charges $55 just to check the balance of the flywheel. Plus whatever their rate/hour is. Want to avoid that if possible. When the rotating assmebly was orignally balanced it was supposed to be internally balanced with the oem dampner and flywheel. But the machinist told me thats not possible with a one-piece rear main engine. So can I get away with bolting it on??

Never balanced mine. I'd say bolt it on, provided you have a stock rotating assy or one that has been blanced to stock specs.

I had to match balance mine for my stock bottom end LT1. Shook your teeth out before match balancing. I had Nutek do mine 3 years ago, don't know if he still does them though.
