Re: How involved is a pinion seal?

Nothing a good impact gun can't handle. Get a 1.25 socket and undo pinion nut, tap off yoke with a good size hammer and replace seal, put yoke back on tighten nut with a little bit of red loctite and snug pinion nut with gun slowely until you just see the pinion nut slow down. Try to tighten it up with the impact gun on it's lowest setting first, see if pinion will move in and out - up or down, you want to take out the slack and just put a very stight load on the bearings. They will start to feel sticky if you went too far..
