How to install a tranny front pump?

Never done it before.

My plan of actions is to use the bolts to line it up and then tap it into place with a mallet.

Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Curt

If you have to use a mallet then stop and take a step back. Even with a new o-ring seal I have NEVER had to use more than some slight pressure using the palms of my hands to seat a front pump. Make sure your mating and sealing surfaces are clean enough to eat off of and give it a shot. There should not be that much effort needed to install it. Good luck!

Thanks, I did not use a mallet. It went right in with a little push.
