Question How do I tell when it is time to replace the clutch?

I have a 95 firebird, with a stock clutch, replaced about 50K miles ago. I don't slip the clutch much, and have never fried it since installation. The clutch was installed December of 99. Currently, the pedal catches about 1 - 1.5" from the top. Just want to know the warning signs before some disaster occurs. Thanks.

Exactly, put it in a high gear at a low mph, and give it a decent amount of gas pedal. If it's bad, it will start to slip.
