How to disconnect line from slave cylinder?

Hey guys,

I need to get the line off of my slave cylinder that connects it to the master cylinder. It almost looks like it is pressed on or something. I didn't want to try to force it off and end up breaking something.

What is the correct procedure for getting this line off?, it is for an LT1 BTW

thanx in advance....

There should be a white, plastic "ring" sticking out of the fitting ... you have to press that ring down into the fitting, and it will release a set of fingers that are holding the fitting together. Sorry if I'm not explaining it properly, but if you were looking at it (or I had a picture to show you) it would make more sense .

I guess yours is a little different from mine. All that held mine togeather was a pin. I got a small allen wrench and a hammer and knocked the pin out. From there I just pulled the line off.

^ depends which end of the line you're talking about! The end at the slave cylinder has the fitting I described ... the end at the reservoir is as you described .
