How is converter lockup controlled on a '93?

I put a 700r4 in my 95 z28 so know the PCM does not control lockup. I installed a lockup kit that can do it for me.

The kit has:
A pressure switch on OD (only allows lockup in 4th)
A brake switch (unlocks the converter if the brakes are pressed)
A vacuum switch (unlocks the converter if there is no vacuum ie WOT)

My question is about the vacuum switch. Do the '93 have anything like that? I did not install it and the converter locks up fine. The only time I can see that it would be needed is if you wanted to go WOT into OD. With my 2.73 gears the top of 3rd is probably faster than I will every go ( I think it is ~160 mph) so is there any other reason to hook up the vacuum switch? When I put 3.73's in maybe I should hook it up? It just seems like it is going to cause problems.

Thanks
Dustin
