How to check a reverse Lockout on a m6

been blpwing fan fuses and tracked it down to blowing with the reverse lock out plugged in and not blowing with it unplugged. So I would like to check this thing to make sure it is the culprit before i swap it and then find that the issue is elsewhere. thanks

I'd measure the resistance of the reverse lockout solenoid, with the solenoid still in the tranny. Measure resistance between the pins on the solenoid. I don't have the correct value right in front of me, but if you need it, I have a healthy solenoid in the garage that I can measure. If its blowing the 10AMP fuse, the resistance is going to be very low if the solenoid is faulty. Also check from the pin that the brown wire attaches to ("B" on the wiring diagram) to the tranny case. That would show it there is a short from the +12V side of the solenoid to the tranny case (ground).

yea man getting the correct resistance and all from a healthy one would be great. I am pretty sure mine is toast becuase I noticed that it was a bit difficult going into reverse.
