I've never had a higher stall other than stock, so, I don't really know how to use it for racing or whatever.

A 2000 Stall is a waste of time with your gear ratio, IMHO if you plan to keep the gear ratio, you should go with a 3500 stall, 2.5 to 2.7 STR.

Your stock converter is a 1850 Stall with a 1.6 STR, not exactly a stellar unit.

I have 3.73 gear ratio, and I am running a 3000 stall, 2.0 STR.

But, this stall is still better than the factory one? Also, this engine makes 325 pound-feet of torque at 2000 RPM, so, I thought this stall would be perfect for a completely stock LT1 engine.

This is only my opinion, get several others, and then find the medium ground that you think is for you, that is what I did before I purchased my converter.

I gathered information for about 6 months before jumping in to my converter change, I also drove in a few Camaros that had different stall & str's.

It is a big step to change the converter, do it once, do it right.
