Red face Hope for the 7.5 10bolt! 10.80's with it.

Well everybody has been telling me for years that my rear was on borrowed time but this weekend was a real test and the stcok 7.5 10 bolt with GM 3.42's and a factory GM posi ran these times.
Went to a local race and put the 150hp NX jets in. The very first pass of the day went like this. +3050' DA
1.66 60' spinning quite a bit ET streets @17psi.
7.06 1/8th
10.95@125.8mph
next pass.
1.63 60' Went out about 30' before spraying. 15psi.
7.02 1/8th
10.93@125mph
Then refilled N2o bottle.
1.61 60' hooked a little better. 14psi.
6.98 1/8th
10.89@126mph dialed in 10.90 and broke out!
Finally had a grudge match with a local Mustang guy,
1.60 60' 14psi.
6.96 1/8th
10.84@126mph to his losing 11.07@119mph

So the car never dead hooked and the fact that it has an auto tranny both helped in not killing the rear. I plan on putting some 26x10 ET drags on the car to see if the rear can hold dead hooking on N2o.I do have a spare 10bolt b/c I always though it would bust a long time ago but it hasn't Now let me tell you guys what I have found out is as long as you keep the stock GM gears and stay with 3.42's, 3.23's or even 2.73's these rears can handle some power. The deal is when you go to a lower gear the pinion gets smaller and therefore weaker. Also no rear girdle or anything like that in the rear. Later
