Hitting rev limiter after tune (stalled auto)

Okay before the tune my car would hit the rev limiter at least 3 times (1st to 2nd WOT). Today i just got the tune in the mail, snapped it in and now its hitting the rev limiter, but only once. I'm also having a loud ticking stall. Do I need to have the rev limter raised up? Even if I have the rev limiter raised up, the ticking is still a concern.

Unrelated, maybe not?

The tranny fluid is full. The tranny isn't slipping or at least not what I consider slipping to be. Just the ticking and the rev limiter hitting.

On the ticking check converter bolts and flex plate its unlikely the stall itsself is ticking.
On the shift went from 3 to 1 sounds like might need just a little more tweaking.

Are you certain the transmission is in the correct working order? We get these complaints alot before we build them.

The bolts are fine and tight and the flexplate is crack free. Tonight it wasn't hitting the rev limiter. But when it was cold running today it did.

The shift tables need to be adjusted, those are based on MPH, they need to pull them down a couple of MPHs OR set the Rev limiter higher, where is the limiter set now?

I am not questioning him, he has a ton more tunes under his belt and he could have the WOT shift tables based on RPM rather than MPH, this can be done, just takes some work at times.
