The hits just keep on coming. Kicking out 4th

Well, finally got the car fixed after the cap and rotor fiasco. As soon as I left the shop. Kicked out of 4th two times. It doesn't do it all the time, and you can tell when it is about to do it because you feel the shifter vibrating. If you let off, it seems to settle the syncro and everything is fine. You can even hammer the throttle and it holds in there.

Spoke to my friend who runs a trans shop and luckily he knows the trans inside and out so he is prepared to rebuild it with Viper internals etc.

Just want to make sure I don't waste the downtime when all it ends up being is low fluid etc. Cost is not an issue, I think he's just going to charge me for parts as usual. Anyone else have this issue before????

sounds like it is internal. they make 3/4 syncro keys for about 100 bux they are hardened. far better than stock ones. if racing or shifting quickly they a must.
