Thanks for the run down.

For comparison, here's my stock converter compared to the new tci. The truck can tach up from idle to 4k and back down to idle in less than 2 seconds, it's awesome!

shawn i had a 2000 stal because i feard the same things you did. but if i were you i would get a shift kit, it really helps firm those shifts with a stall, and get a stall thats not really higher then maybe a 3200, if you drive yours in traffic everyday then get something like a 2500 or so. but when i got mine installed i did have to push the pedal down a tad bit more then i did used to have to. but after i got it moving then i really didnt notice it. you will absolutly LOVE a stall, i could get the rear sidways almost on command in town. my advise would be a 3000 range stall and DEFINATLY a shift kit. good luck

I just got my tranny rebuilt and the 3200 vigilante is going in with lt1 edit.....i can't wait to pick it up next week

Will a 93 need any sort of tuning with a higher stall converter?

hey shawn mine didnt need any at all, butthen i didnt have a high stall. i would say it wouldnt, i may be wrong.
