High speed vibrations

ok 1996 camaro ss, 4:10 gears stock steel drive shaft, i get bad vibrations at about 105 and up, its def. rear end drive shaft related... maybe wheels and tires out of balance?

If you have a steel driveshaft they are notorious for vibrations and especially when you go to 4:10's.

Make sure the pinion nut was torqued properly when the 4.10's were put in. If the crush collar is properly crushed to put the proper preload on the pinion bearings it will cause a high speed vibration. Trust me, I know 1st hand.

my vote is for the driveshaft...although that seems to be a higher than normal speed for the vibration.

most guys complain about it at 80-90
