Help-Opinions Needed Rear Leak - Other than Pinion / Cover?

I had my rear done about 3K miles ago ($1000+ Seals, bearings, crush washers, plus right side axle) because of a bad wheel bearing. I noticed yesterday that the bottom of the brace that bolts to the bottom of the diff (not sure what it is called) is loaded with lube running almost the ful legnth, dryer in the front - wetter in the back. There is also significant oil/gunk caked where the axle tube enters the pumpkin on the RIGHT side only. Is that a common area for a leak?

Since it is the RIGHT side - and that is the side the axle was replaced - is there a possibility this is a result of what the shop did?

I'm trying to get some input before the shop tries to blow smoke up my a$$.

Clean it up and see what reappears and where it is coming from.
