ok guys i have a problem here. Today while driving home i noticed that my car was acting funny. I had to downshift due to trafic, but my tranny locked me out every gear i tryed below 4th. I ended up coming to A complete stop, i put the car in neutral and tried first again but nothing. Second gear was the only gear that worked. So i started off in 2nd, then i shifted into 3rd, and soforth. Well a few miles later in 4th gear my car made a clunk noise and started shaking, So i tried downshifting but the shifter was stuck. I had to yank it out into neutral and coasted to the shoulder.I came to a complete stop and tried to move the car but as soon as i got 5-10 mph it sounded like a grinding noise, so i stoped. Does anybody know what is wrong with my car.

 

I seen this with some that the cags goes goofy or a shift fork is bent and jammed or possibly the shift rail is bent (unlikely). I would guess the shift fork.
