HELP! installed hd2 now trans not working

Well, it's been a bad day. I just got done installing a transgo HD-2 in my car and now the trans is barely working. I was unable to install some of the parts in the kit. My valve body had an overside valve in it already so the valve they give you with the bolt your supposed to work back and forth until its smooth didn't go in. Also I have a fairbanks 2nd and sonnax 4th shift servo so none of the servo parts went in. So I installed the new boost valve and the 2nd accumulator shims and springs like it said. drilled the plate and put it all back together. Now, when I took it apart the checkball that goes on top of the plate was not, it was in the hole in the 2nd accumulator housing. And there was one ball missing on the vb side. I had another trans torn apart so I took a ball out of it and stuck them where the kit said. Put it together, filled it up, ran it through the gears. Seemed fine. lowered it and backed out of the stall and pulled into the parking lot. Shut it down and cleaned up. Rechecked fluid level and topped it off. Went to leave, no reverse. Funny it had reverse a minute ago...rechecked fluid, it was good. Decided to push it out of the spot and take it down the road. Seems to slip bad in all gears, barely shifts, won't under any throttle. Someone please help me.

Well, for anyone that wants to know and perhaps to help keep someone else from making the same mistake....There are two grooves in the bore for the pump boost valve that the snap ring can go in. The first/lower one is not really a snap ring groove though, it was just put there to confuse and frustrate people like me. Make sure you get the valve all the way up and the snap ring is in firmly, otherwise as soon as you go into drive it blows that valve into the pan and you lose all your pressure. It's all good now.
