Can you move the shifter side to side? Does the shifter move but the car doesn't go in gear? Or is the shifter itself jammed?

its either the throw out bearing for sure, if it was your syncros you would be popping out of gear while driving and grinding going into gear most likely throwout bearing....

Re: Help! Car Wont Shift! (m6 Lt1)

could very well be the clutch i tore mine in half at the track about 500 miles after install and i had the hardest time puting it in gear sometimes it would go sometimes it wouldnt and would get stuck between gears. i would check into that before i would go ripping into the tranny.

Re: Help! Car Wont Shift! (m6 Lt1)

about 2 years ago, my pressure plate was shot. Put a new assy in, and never had a prob. If you have 65k on it, and you beat it, it's time for new. I put mine on around those many miles, now I have 93k, and I need new again. Tell me I'm and easy driver.

Re: Help! Car Wont Shift! (m6 Lt1)

A misaligned tranny can cause stiff or missed shifts. Pilot bearings can cause trouble too.

Even if the synchros were bad, it wouldn't pop out of gear. It would grind as was mentioned earlier. Once the gear is selected, the synchros have no job.
