Help is it a blown hydraulic clutch line or what?
Help is it a blown hydraulic clutch line or what?
I got a phone call from my son, while at work. All resistance in the clutch pedal went, while he was shifting gears. Car does not go, I guess the clutch doesn't engage.
I called him a tow truck, I have to work overtime, and I don't want to work on the side of the road
It sounds like either hydralics went or the lever is hanging up
any suggestions?

Re: Help is it a blown hydraulic clutch line or what?
Yeah I phoned him back. He told me that the clutch was disengaged.
I don't know if he's sure or not.
He told me that it was in neutral, no resistance from the pedal
I figure a busted line, and he is misinterpreting what's happened, or the clutch lever/fork is jammed open.

Re: Help is it a blown hydraulic clutch line or what?
It's helpful to know what year/configuration car. If it's a T56, there's a single bolt that holds the pivot point for the clutch fork. Mine failed and gave similiar results. I've learned to loctite it in place.
