Re: HELP - 12 bolt Moser
This is the deal. I had to replace my bearings this week on my Moser 12-bolt.
The bearings that came out of the axles, the part numer was RW508ER
I called Moser, and looks like this part may have been discontinued or they don't stock them anymore, although I believe with a little calling around, you can still get these.. They gave me another p/n: BCA 88128 and the seal p/n: CR 15141
The seal was not a problem to find under that number, the bearings was a PITA.
Try that number above first, and I tell you why in a minute...
I ended up finding a set of bearings that that finally fit and had this part number on the box: They're BCA brand RW508EAR/2A
The reason why you should try to get the number above, is because they're sealed bearings. The ones I've got are sealed on one side only. Meaning, one side has the ball bearings exposed. No biggie, just pack them with grease, and they should be fine, since the differential oil can't get to them, beecause the seal goes before it.
Make sure the bearings have a groove on the outside casing, where it should have an o-ring already installed.
I called you and left you a message. I work nights, so please don't call me back, I'm going to bed soon.
Call me tomorrow morning or after 11pm on tonight, if you have any questions...
