I put in a Moser Ford 9 inch rear end in my 96 camaro. Now, the back of the car is riding higher than normal plus the rear driver side is higher than the rear passenger side. I did do some weight removal and I reinstalled my factory springs back on. What do you guys think? Does the 9 inch make your car ride higher. Plus why would it be higher on one side? Thanks for any help.

I am pretty sure GM set the camaro's suspension up so that when the driver sits the car is then even. Many people with stock suspensions have the same phenomena. How much higher is it than before? If there is an axle tube size difference or a spring perch higher than stock than it would raise the car.

I believe the axle tube is slightly larger on the Moser causing an increase in the rear ride height.

Couple of things I noticed too when I swapped in my 12bolt.

1) Your new rearend axle tubes are a larger diameter than your 10bolt...this will push the car further up...make it ride a little higher.

2) Want to make sure you put your springs back in right, each spring needs to be matched as far as how it sits on the purch. If the last coil on the bottom is facing the outside, then both sides needs to be. Had to adjust mine once to get them right.

Hope that helps!

Good luck.
