hard 1st-2nd shift, then 2nd start!???
hey guys, i put 200 miles on my new rebuilt transmission, anyways heres whats happening now..... i back out of the driveway, put the car in OD, or D.. it does the same for either one, but then the car goes into 1st, so i start going, shifts pretty damn hard into 2nd then normal to 3rd and then when i slow down to like a stoplight and come to a stop, the car starts out in 2nd gear!, what is causing this?? i checked my fluid and i might be a little high, not much though, i looked in my 4l60e book and it said it could be the sprag assembly installed backwards, i hope its not that, any ideas of whats causing this?

well I would have to say that with out the DTC # I can't rally tell you but you do have some thing in the tranny going bad. Shift silonoid or something. when the tranny has and electric problem it goes into a default and that's why it starts off in 2nd after the on good time of starting in 1st. let me know what the DTC is and I can help you from there.

update
update: now the car starts in whatever gear the selector is in, except if i pull it all the way back to the 1 position, it starts in 2nd still, so what the heck is going on!??? i called the tranny place that rebuilt my tranny and i was pretty pissed, cuz hes like, nooooooo you gotta take it out and bring it to us, it dosent include us taking it out, but hopefully if i bitch enough they will kinda work with me ont he price of removal, since i have no way of taking it out again, cant work in my dads garage anymore...., anyways, so what could this be? does it sound like the wires came unplugged from the trans or what?

DTC 84 is what was pulled from the scanner today, 3-2 shift solenoid faulty.... also my car still really vibrates when u rev it up, it dosent get bad till 1700 rpms, then it stays bad if you rev it up more, uhhhgggg, what a nightmare, i thought i paid someone else to rebuild this tranny so i wouldnt have problems! blah, thanks for the help in advance!
