I've had the Cartek clutch for 2 years now, and it's toast. Should I just replace the disk, with another Cartek disk, or should I upgrade the pressure plate, too? Or should I just get another setup? Is there anything else I should replace? I already have an adj. master cylinder. Thanks.

 

Well if you liked the clutch you can just change the disk.Check your flywhell and pressure plare for exsessive heat marks and warp.If that is the case you might want to take them to a machine shop to reface them.

Well, luckily I bought the steel billet flywheel from SLP, so I don't have to worry about that for a while. I will check the pressure plate, but should I go ahead and order both the PP and disk?

 

i"d say get the whole setup.. pp/disk.. and forget about it till next time...

 

Good point! I mean, I'd rather spend the extra 100 bucks and know that it's gonna be good, as opposed to just changing out the disk, only to find out that the PP is bad. Thanks!

 

sounds like you got it. how do you like the adjustable? is it worth it? i just ordered one on the tad bit of info i had and a few ppl told me to get it since my 00 one is junk
