grinding in torque converter????

Hey all, I just replaced the 700r4 tranny in my 89 camaro RS (5.7L) and the first time I cranked it up, it wasn't a loud noise, but it was kind of a grinding, I could be very wrong on the sound, but it sounded to me like a small grinding noise, and then it stopped after it ran for a while. It did it the next 2x I cranked it up I think, and I don't think I've hard it since, but just incase, I wanted to know if anyone thinks there is a problem??
