Grinding noise?

I posted this on z28.com a while back but I'm still not sure. Here's the problem. Every once in a while after I get on it for a little while my car will make this funky grinding noise when I downshift. I asked this same question on the other forum and they said it's my throw-out bearing and that it is normal. I just replace my clutch about 12,000 miles ago. Could it just be a normal thing or should I worry about a new clutch or possibly a tranny? Any help or info would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
