gotta trans issue for ya, need some help here guys!

well, my camaro just got done with all the bs it needed done to it....

i chenged my trans filter and put fresh fluid in it and used a transmission additive,

well i started my car today and pulled it into "R" and it died,

so i put it in "N" and started it and pulled it into "OD" and it dies,

i got it to finaly start and go into gear without stalling (i thought it was a vac leak at the MAF or something)

so i checked that and it wasnt leaking..

now when i shift into "R" i dont feel it go into gear and my RPM's dont drop,

i have to give it quick little jolts of gas and then it kicks in the rpms drop and it takes about 1/4 of a pedal if that to make it move. and i shudders when moving....

when i pull it into "OD" it take 3 sec to go into gear, and it jerks pretty good, and if i even slightly let my foot off the brake ittl move like its ready to go.

so its only "R" doing this...

ive heard it was maybe the TCC or "lockup" what are these things and can comeone explain them to me?

please me simple with it if you can im very new to transmissions and i dont know ANYTHING about them exept if they are auto or manual and maybe their name if im lucky..

could it also be the seleniods doing this?, guys im really at a loss here..

im curious if 1994 even has a "lockup"

oh also and now i can start my car and pull it into gear without it stalling but RPMs drop really low and almost stalls..

and also my car is misfiring alot, but it has a new opti with less then 10 miles on it if that. (havent driven it much)

any help guys would help really,

thanks.

oh btw my car is an LT4 with 4L60E (LT4 top half, its not stock) trans is stock exept for shift kit.

Make sure you check the level correctly after it is warm and you may have to run the shifter back and forth a few times to get fluid all through the valve body and get it shifting right. Kind of sounds like you are low on fluid, though. What additive did you put in there?

It was called tranny honey. I added a gallon of trans fluid and then that bottle of tranny honey.

Im hoping its low fluid. And should it take like 2 to 3 sec for the trans to shift into drive from park?

Ive been told this is normal but every other camaro ive had it was shift and go...

What's the history on your transmission? Did it work before your fluid change? What mods are done to it? Deep pan, valve body kit, etc?

Far as i know its all stock the pan is stock. It felt like it had a shift kit but i could be wrong.

So im assuming all stock. Im hoping its not the trans...

Bobby, see if you can get some help here:

http://performabuilt.com/Contact2008.html

I forget the guy's name, but he has a sticky in this forum and has always been willing to share information and help people. He is a forum supporting vendor and I wouldn't hesitate to have him build a trans for me if I needed one.
