Good clutch that doesnt chatter? Z06 in an LT1?
RIght now i have the LT4 and I am very happy with it. Its been 2 years now and the car has had 318-380rwhp and torque over that time. Doesnt chatter grabs alittle harder than stock.
So what are my options if i want a clutch that grabs alittle harder but doesnt chatter.. The street twin is out my my price range cuz im doing an engine rebuild and brake job right now.. While the engine is out might as well put in a new clutch disk.
What about using a z06 clutch disk in an LT1 car?
My friend Jason and I put an LS1 disk (disk locally made) from my friend Dan's 2000 SS and put it in his 1995 LT1 camaro. Works fine. Can a Z06 disk work then?
Trying to see my options..
What about a disc that has more organic pads? wouldnt it hold more torque then?
I use to have a Stage 3 spec before they went to a Star design clutch disk. I hated it. Chatter like hell and blew up leaving me with a broke car 2 years ago.
If i cant find anything that holds as well without chattering im going to buy a new lt4
