Going through a lot of trans mounts?

I have a 1993 Z28 Camaro LT1 (auto), It seems like I am going through a lot of trans mounts, I bought the car Aug, 2006, and I have had to put 2 more in it (not including the one when I bought it, It was ok)

Is this unusual, and I beat the crap out of my car so idk...

Thanks!

M

I had changed my trans mount 13 times before someone told me GET A POLY lol. I know what you mean, i kept cracking or breaking mine goin from 1-2 shifts(auto trans) especially when you have a hypertech and you do shift firmness. Get a poly there cheap and youll never have to worry about it again.

My third gen does that. I'll check on the poly. But mine is the rear motor mount.

I had a poly in my car. I took it out because there was a lot of vibration. Is vibration normal with a poly mount?

The parts store mounts are usually garbage. Murrays auto parts sells Anchor brand. I went through a bunch of those in my GTA. I put in a $30 poly mount from Summit and have not had a problem. I noticed no vibrations either.

i never had vibration, i had it in my 95Z auto-01SS 6speed and now my 93 6speed. For some reason the ride feels stiffer but i think since the tranny doesnt bounce back and forth as much due to the poly it just feels that way, vibrations ive had none
