gears an rears - opinions
I have a 93 Z28 with a procharger and stock engine block, my rear end just went a while ago and I am about to replace it. I've gotten some good advice here on the site. as well as lt1tech.com, but I wanted to ask everyones opinion on these last two things before I purchase my rear end next weekend...
1) 3.42 OR 3.73 GEARS??? (keep in mind that it's an automatic)
2) MOSER OR STANGE REAR END???

Re: gears an rears - opinions
Sorry to hear about your rear end going out. In my opinion I would go with the 3.73's (quicker acceleration and still retains decent rpm's @ freeway speeds). To answer your second question, I went with the Strange 12 bolt w/4.11 gears and I've been happy with it since the install. Hope this helps.
Re: gears an rears - opinions
Yes, be prepared to spend a lot of money on a 12-bolt or go to a salvage yard for a complete 3:42 rear for about $300 or less.
