just recently got a 94 Z28, it came with a 2-o/d shifter plate but had a selectable 1st, so today i got the correct shifter plate but now when its showin 2nd its in 1st and it goes through this all the way to reverse/ neutral then reverse is in between reverse and park and reverse is way up at the edge of the plate have to slam it into park. any ideas how to fix this?

 

TTT cmon doesnt anyone have any idea what would cause this? only thing i can figure is ... well i have no idea at all =/ ...
